Dance for PD ® workshop with David Leventhal
Sunday 22th November at Balettakademien Stockholm, 10.00-15.00
Welcome to register for a special Professional development workshop with David Leventhal from Dance for PD ® USA.
We are so proud to be able to invite David Leventhal (Dance for PD ® in USA) to give a workshop day that explores the art and craft of Parkinson's dance teaching and builds on content covered in introductory training.
To be able to participate you have made the introduction education in Sweden or elsewhere.
People living with Parkinsons will join us and dance for a part of the day.
In this workshop David will explore activity design that harnesses participants’ creative potential, accessible and inclusive approaches to choreographic repertory and improvisation, and embedding deep musicality into your teaching artistry.
During this workshop, you will:
- Hone your skills and expand your creative toolkit
- Exchange activities and exercises with other Dance for Parkinson’s instructors
- Infuse your teaching practice with new ideas
Balettakademien Stockholm holds the Dance for PD ® licence and continuously gives introduction education together with Mark Morrish program in Dance for PD ®.
After the workshop the Swedish network Danshälsa/Dance for Parkinson invites you to continue the reflections and join a network meeting. At 16.00-17.00 at Balettakademien.
If you work with Danshälsa at Balettakademien Stockholm, you can participate free of charge — email ba.sthlm@folkuniversitetet.se for help with booking.
