About the course
This course is designed for those of you that are unemployed, foreign-born and looking for a qualified job in Sweden. You will learn how to sharpen your application documents, find new ways and how to network. The course leaders will use their experience in job
applications and networking in order to equip you. We work together as a group, sharing
our CVs and experiences with each other, at a high pace.
Who can participate?
The course is for you who are unemployed, living in Sweden and seeking a qualified job in Sweden and are
ready to try new ways to get a qualified job. You need to speak Swedish or English. The course takes place in Folkuniversitetet Malmö, it’s not possible to attend online.
Course content
● We sharpen your application documents to fit the jobs you apply for
● We help you find alternative ways in getting qualified jobs - sometimes taking an
indirect route is what you need to do in order to land the job you want
● We inspire you to use LinkedIn in order to market yourself
● According to your professional/educational background, we map the job market
and try and connect you with relevant actors
Work methods
● The course is for you who speak Swedish or English
● You participate actively during lessons
● Please be prepared to send in your CV in advance and spend a few hours making
use of your new skills and application documents, in between lessons
Material
There will be no material to purchase for this course. We will ask you who gets an offer to
participate in the course to send the course leaders your CV in advance, and during the
course, to create a LInkedIn account
