She Decides: Give Life to Your Idea

Plats Stockholm

You have a business idea. You’ve thought about it, maybe talked about it, but have not acted on it yet. Welcome to our supportive space for foreign-born women. Here, you will unpack your idea, explore it, test it, and decide how to go forward with it.

Boka nu

This is an intensive course designed to challenge you as a foreign-born woman with a business idea you have not yet fully acted on.

You will not only work on your idea; you will also consider commercial legal aspects of your business, and explore the internal barriers in mindset, identity, and self-belief that may be holding you back from acting on what you already know.

Purpose and Goals

This course is about helping you move from “maybe someday” to a clear decision.

During the program, you will:

  • Look at your idea and consider possible alternatives
  • Get commercial and legal insights in business
  • Build a business case
  • Design and implement a test for your idea in the real world
  • Learn some tech basics
  • Understand what it would really take to move forward

By the end, you will have made a decision: yes, no, or not yet. You will also have a strategy to move beyond the decision.

Content

Throughout the course, you will work step by step through your idea using a clear framework: Discern – Evaluate – Test – Commit – Calibrate.

What you will leave with:

  • A clear view of your values, skills, and experience from a business perspective
  • A simple, high-level business case for your idea
  • A clear idea of your ideal customer, supplier, pricing, and business model
  • A first small experiment to test your idea in real life
  • A better understanding of what is holding you back, and who you need to grow into
  • A clear decision: yes, no, or not yet, based on what you have learned
  • A practical 90-day action plan for your next steps

Who is the course for?

This course is for you if:

  • you are a foreign-born woman
  • you have a Swedish personal number
  • you have been registered as a job seeker for at least 6 months
  • and/or you have not completed upper secondary education

But beyond that, this is for you if you feel like you are sitting on something you haven’t fully explored yet.

Prerequisites

You don’t need a finished plan just an idea you are willing to explore.

You should:

  • Be open to reflecting, sharing, and trying things out
  • Be comfortable participating in English
  • Bring a laptop and have basic digital skills, as you will complete AI-based exercises during the course

Course Format

This is an intensive course that runs over 6 weeks and includes 8 sessions, from 10:00 to 14:30, including a lunch break.

During the first and last weeks, classes take place on Mondays and Thursdays.

For current dates and times, click “Visa övriga tillfällen” on the right-hand side of the course description.

Each session is active and practical. You will not just listen; you will:

  • take part in exercises
  • hear how others are thinking
  • share your own reflections
