What does the programme provide?
The programme provides teaching of the Swedish language, individual coaching, mapping, competence development, information about Swedish society, self-leadership, promotion of health initiatives and – if required – matching with employers.
For whom and how?
Refugees from Ukraine aged 18 and over who are in Sweden and who need to improve their Swedish as well as become more socially integrated in Swedish society. You can choose
- A full-time programme (100 %) with daytime studies/coaching if you are in the process of trying to find a job
- A part-time programme (50 %) with studies two evenings a week and every second Saturday if you already have a job and need to improve your Swedish and knowledge of Swedish society
How long is the programme?
The programme lasts for approximately 4 months.
What about study materials?
Folkuniversitetet will provide study material free of charge.
Where?
The course is held at Folkuniversitetet in the centre of Göteborg, Norra Allégatan 6.
When can I get into the programme?
We have monthly starts. Next available start for both the full time and the half time programme is in April.

Care of Folkbildningen är till för dig som kommer från Ukraina, är 18 år eller äldre och omfattas av EU:s massflyktingdirektiv på grund av kriget i Ukraina. Du befinner dig i Sverige och bedöms vara i behov av insatser för att komma in i arbete och bli socialt engagerad. I programmet ingår utbildning i svenska, individuell coachning, kartläggning, kompetensutveckling, samhällskunskap, självledarskap och hälsofrämjande insatser samt – om du behöver det – matchning med arbetsgivare. Programmet finansieras av Europeiska socialfonden.
