We here at ISU Programs offer a preparatory course in IELTS for those with a previous knowledge of English corresponding to at least 4,5 in the IELTS scale or its equivalent. Upon completion of the course, all participants take the test (the test fee is included in the course fee) and are awarded an IELTS certificate. The tests take place in Lund, usually on Saturdays.
Apart from the English language classes, the course consists of other lectures intended to improve understanding of the Scandinavian and, more particularly, Swedish culture. The ultimate goal of the course is for the participants to acquire a knowledge of the English language corresponding to 7,0 in the IELTS scale.
The number of offered hours varies in accordance with individual needs and requirements, i.e. there is a possibility of purchasing an additional amount of hours. Usually, students work for approximately 20-25 hours per week, which consitutes a full-time study program.
