Silvercoders

The project, Silvercoders (Developing the Creativity of Older Adults through Coding), intends to develop the digital and creative abilities of trainers and adult learners by engaging institutions and organizations in formal, informal, and non-formal education for adults with companies from the creative sector. By doing so we intend to provide adults with the necessary tools and competencies to develop creative and innovative solutions to face new risks and challenges, both in personal, educational and professional contexts. By contributing to the digital literacy of 55+ adults, by equipping them with programming and coding abilities, the project will reinforce their cognitive status and will allow them to acquire or improve their employability skills and adapt them to the current societal challenges. Programming challenges will be developed this spring and tested towards the summer. Projektet Silvercoders (Utveckling av äldre vuxnas kreativitet genom programmering) syftar till att utveckla den digitala och kreativa förmågan hos utbildare och vuxna genom att engagera institutioner och organisationer inom formell, informell och icke-formell utbildning för vuxna med företag från den kreativa sektorn. På så sätt vill vi ge vuxna de nödvändiga verktygen och kompetensen för att utveckla kreativa och innovativa lösningar för att möta nya risker och utmaningar, både i personliga, utbildningsmässiga och yrkesmässiga sammanhang. Genom att bidra till den digitala kompetensen hos vuxna över 55 år, genom att utrusta dem med kunskaper i programmering, kommer projektet att stärka deras kognitiva status och göra det möjligt för dem att förvärva eller förbättra sina färdigheter för anställbarhet och anpassa dem till de aktuella samhällsutmaningarna.
