Developing your musicality
Vadstena Sång och Pianoakademi is a unique full-time education programme designed to deepen your knowledge of Western Art Music. The programme is two years long and entitles you to student funding.

About the programme
The focus of the Vadstena Sång och Pianoakademi's programme is on improving your technique on your main instrument. Through study of the subject Interpretation of Lieder you will broaden and deepen your knowledge of the interplay between singer and pianist in chamber music. This makes our programme absolutely unique in Sweden.
It provides you with the keys you need to bring the music on the page to life in a sensitive way, to practice being attentive to the interplay between singer and pianist, and to expand your ability to give truly personal interpretations of music in your performances. The programme also of course includes the subjects that are directly essential for university entrance such as a secondary instrument, music theory, and aural skills. The programme also includes subjects that will make you a competent musician: music history, pronunciation of languages, vocal theory, piano master classes , musical communication, choir, movement, and concert projects.
Students are encouraged to develop their imagination and musicality in a wide repertoire of music from different eras and in a variety of languages. The programme also provides many opportunities to participate in concerts. You select either song or piano as your specialisation.
