Prerequisites
This course is for students who have completed a Swedish A2 del 1 course of 60 study hours or have equivalent basic knowledge of Swedish. We recommend that you take our placement test online before booking a course.
Course goal
The goal of this course is to help you use basic Swedish in everyday situations.
Course content
During the course, you will learn:
- how to talk about your daily routines, hobbies, and past experiences
- how to express opinions, preferences, and future plans
- how to hold simple conversations about everyday topics
- how to read and write short texts such as letters, emails, and messages
- more about Swedish culture and traditions
- grammar, including verb conjugation in different tenses, sentence structure, and prepositions
Course structure
This is an intensive course running over four weeks in our school in Göteborg.
The teaching is conducted in Swedish from the start, with a primary focus on oral communication. You are expected to actively participate in the lessons and contribute to discussions on various topics.There will be homework between classes.
You also have the option to add individual lessons to work on specific needs such as grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, or professional Swedish.

Course materials
The course uses Rivstart A1+A2 by Paula Levy Scherrer and Karl Lindemalm (latest edition, text and exercise books). Course materials are not included in the course fee.
Continuation course
After completing this course, you can progress directly to the next level, B1 del 1.
Registration
Register by clicking the "BOKA NU" button. If you do not have a Swedish personal number, select "Use the English booking form". Final confirmation ("Kallelse" in Swedish) of the course (including teacher, classroom details, etc.) will be sent about a week before the start date, provided there are enough participants.
