Aim of the course
After this course your level of Swedish will be A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference. When you have completed this level you can introduce yourself and ask others about their name and where they live. You can understand and use simple words and phrases concerning your needs or everyday situations. You can communicate with someone who speaks slowly and clearly.
This is the second part (of two) of the Swedish course for level A1. You will continue to learn to deal with simple day-to-day situations such as presenting yourself and ask for directions. At the end of the course you will be able to communicate about simple topics with someone who speaks slowly and clearly. In this course you will learn:
- simple words and phrases
- to talk about yourself
- to ask simple questions and understand simple answers
- basic grammar
- to talk and write in Swedish about simple subjects
- about Swedish culture and society
The teaching is in Swedish from the beginning and the main focus is on oral communication. We use practical daily life situations for practicing - in pairs or in small groups. We work a lot with listening comprehension and conversation skills, where grammar is integrated. You are expected to take an active part in the lessons and your personal points of view are a valuable contribution to how the course is conducted. To benefit from the course you should plan a couple of hours of homework per week.
