Join this group to read and discuss a modern classic in American dystopian literature. "The Handmaid's Tale" is often referred to in current social and political discussion. It has also been made into a popular television series. We'll read the book and look at some of the ways it is referenced in current events.

Who is this online course for?
This course is for students who are at B1 level but feel they need to improve their speaking skills and confidence.
Aims of the course
- to develop your range of vocabulary through a variety of themes and topics.
- to teach you how to avoid common mistakes at your level so that you speak more accurately and correctly.
- to improve your ability to participate more naturally and fluently in conversation and discussions.
Working methods
- The course is taught exclusively in English by a teacher who has English as a native language.
- - Class size is between 5-8 students.
- - Discussion will be as a group.
- - You will be assigned a section of the book to read every week.
Course material
In this course you will reed The Handmaid´s Tale by Margaret Atwood. The teacher will give you more information before the beginning of the first lesson. You who participate in the course get the book yourself and it is not included in the fee.
Teacher
Renee Vrtiska has a bachelors degree in English from the University of Miami and has taught English to native speakers and second language learners since 2018. Her business experience ranges from leadership positions in philanthropic organizations to small business and educational institution board rooms in the US and Sweden. In her spare time, Renee is an avid reader of history and literature.
