Course content
Learn the basics of watercolour painting. Practice different types of brushstrokes, depicting forms, light, and textures, and develop your own technique. During the course, you will also discover the joy of your personal artistic expression. The course includes painting natural objects, landscapes, and still-life motives, but you may also choose your own subjects. You work in line with your own focus and level of ambition.
During the course, you will cover the following topics:
materials and colour handling
light, forms, and textures
landscapes and atmospheric perspective
colours and shimmering light
-composition: balance and proportions
experimentation and special effects
Course Structure
Lectures, individual guidance, and independent creative work are combined in a relaxed and creative environment.
Prerequisites
For those who are curious about starting watercolour painting, or who have acquired materials but not yet begun.

Materials are not included in the course fee.

Mary Copper
Mary Copper är konstnär som bor i Malmö sedan 2021. Innan dess bodde hon i Seattle, USA, där hon undervisade i teckning och måleri vid University of Washington och Gage Academy of Art. Hon har bakgrund inom observationsteckning och måleri, och arbetar mest med oljemåleri i sin egen praktik.
Att teckna är att upptäcka vad det är man verkligen ser. I sin egen praktik och undervisning brinner hon för teckningen som en grund på vilken allt annat inom konsten kan byggas.
I hennes kurser lär sig eleverna de grundläggande principerna för teckning samtidigt som de lär sig att utveckla färdigheter utifrån sina egna intressen.
