Ett kreativt utforskande med utgångspunkt i skapandet. Vi jobbar med intention både i rörelsen och i vilka vi är i dansen. Vi utgår ifrån den egna rörelse-erfarenheten oavsett dansbakgrund och möts i och genom olika improvisationer. Koreografier och berättelser uppstår.
Fokus ligger på att hitta vårt eget uttryck, skapa eget material, känna av varandra och arbeta i grupp. Detta genom övningar som stimulerar till komposition, fysikalitet och berättande. Vi går bortom teknik och rörelse och ger utrymme för dansen och den konstnärliga processen.
Den här är en kurs för dig som har dansat ett tag och vill utveckla det egna uttrycket.
Förkunskaper: Intermediate/Advanced - minst 5 års förkunskaper oavsett genre. Kursen är för ungdomar från 16 år och vuxna.
Kursledare
Lee Brummer
Lee Brummer is an independent choreographer, international guest teacher and educator based in Sweden. She studied at the Jerusalem Academy for music and dance where she also completed her BA and teaching degree in 2007. Lee has studied psychology, theatre and pilates alongside her career as a dancer and choreographer.
Lee is the Associate Director and Co Founder of ilDance, an independent and international contemporary dance company and organisation based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since 2016 Lee also manages GAGA SWEDEN under the umbrella of ilDance.
Lee danced with the Bat Dor Dance Company (Israel), The Emanuel Gat Dance Company (Israel) and with various independent choreographers across Europe. She has worked as choreographer’s assistant in a variety of dance productions and musicals in Sweden and abroad.
Over the years Lee has been teaching and working with companies such as: DV8, Australian Dance Theatre, Sydney Dance Company, National Dance Company Wales and Norrdans to name a few. She has been guest teaching at open professional classes, schools and universities worldwide and has been choreographing her own work within different international structures since 2010. Lee became a certified Gaga teacher in 2019.

Joakim Stephenson
Joakim is a freelance choreographer and teacher based in Stockholm, and has been a recurring teacher at Balettakademien since 2017, specializing in ballet, composition, and adult classes.
Joakim Stephenson was trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School (1983–1991) and joined the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1991, becoming a soloist in 2007. He was a member of Ballet Monte Carlo (2008–2009) and later guested with the Hong Kong Ballet after his retirement in 2016.
He co-created the Gotland International Dance Seminar in 2005 and has staged Alexander Ekman’s ballets for companies including the Joffrey Ballet and Stanislavsky Ballet. As an ABT Certified Teacher, Joakim has taught at Cincinnati Ballet, Istanbul State Ballet, Estonian National Ballet and Vanemuine Ballet among others.
Joakim’s choreography includes works for the Royal Swedish Opera, Kulturhuset in Stockholm, and various dance schools in Stockholm, Göteborg, Istanbul och Liège. Notable projects include choreographing Loreen’s "Statements" for Eurovision and creating a dance film for Princess Estelle’s Cultural Foundation. He has also choreographed works screened at international film festivals.
A certified Dance for Parkinson’s leader, Joakim leads classes for Dance for Parkinson’s, Dance for Health, and Dance for Cancer. He has lectured on the theme "Dance as an intervention to improve quality of life for people living with dementia”, latest at the IADAMS conference in 2024. Joakim has also completed advanced academic courses in dance and ballet education and courses in neuroscience, and dance health, latest Dance in Cancer Care Introductory Training in Liège November 2024.
