Sweden faces a paradox: one in four recruitment attempts fails despite high unemployment. Many skilled professionals remain unseen because their experience does not match standard job categories or recruitment filters.
This intensive course helps you clarify your direction, strengthen your confidence, and take concrete steps toward employment in Sweden.
Purpose and goals
The purpose of this course is to help you gain clarity, confidence, and direction in your job search.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Identify your strengths and target roles in Sweden.
- Translate your background into Swedish job titles and competency language.
- Build a strong CV and precise cover letters for the Swedish market.
- Practice confident communication, networking, and conversations with recruiters.
Leave with a clear, personalised job search action plan.
Who can join?
The course is intended for you who:
- are a foreign-born (priority to women)
- are registered as a resident in Sweden
- have been registered as a jobseeker for at least 6 months
- want to prepare for working in Sweden
Content
During the course, you will actively work with:
- Mapping your skills, experience, and career direction
- Understanding how recruitment works in Sweden
- Translating your background into relevant roles and competencies
- Writing and improving CVs and cover letters
- Practicing interviews, networking, and professional communication
- Building a step-by-step job search strategy
You will work with real examples, receive feedback, and apply what you learn directly to your own situation.
Course structure
The course is held on-site at Kungstensgatan 45 in Stockholm.
It is a 30-hour intensive program over 3 weeks (approximately 10 hours per week).
The course combines workshops, group discussions, and practical exercises, with a strong focus on active participation and real-life application.
You are encouraged to bring your own questions, challenges, and goals into the process.
Fee
The course is free of charge. All materials are provided by the course leader.
Course leader
The course is led by an experienced facilitator with knowledge of the Swedish labour market, communication, and career development.
The focus is on practical tools, guidance, and creating a supportive learning environment.
