Course Overview

This course is specifically designed for foreign-born women seeking to bridge the gap between their expertise and the specific demands of the Swedish Labor Market. While the Swedish job market offers significant opportunities, navigating its unique cultural nuances and digital gatekeepers requires a targeted approach. This course provides participants with the strategic tools and psychological resilience needed to transition from job seeker to valued professional.

Purpose and goals

Addressing Contemporary Recruitment Challenges - A primary focus of this course is overcoming the technical and cultural barriers and accelerate your integration into the Swedish workforce. Participants will address the dual challenge of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) optimization—ensuring digital compatibility with Swedish recruitment software—and the navigation of cultural prerequisites, such as a nuanced understanding of Swedish workplace sociology, including the role of Jantelagen, Fika, the consensus-based leadership, and the "flat" organizational structures. This course directly addresses these hurdles, transforming potential barriers into competitive advantages.

The meetings take place in small groups and contain a combination of theory, power points, conversations, and practical exercises with constructive feedback and actionable advice.

This is what you will get:

• Interview training and strategies for addressing the "deskilling" trap where foreign born women are often overqualified for the roles they are offered

• Open discussions in decoding Swedish Workplace Culture

• Learn why Swedish recruiters often prioritize "cultural fit" and collaborative potential

• Learn to bypass automated filters by mastering Applicant Tracking System (ATS) rules

• Identifying and integrating AI - It is only as smart as the prompts and inputs you feed it

• Navigating STAR - Situation, Task, Action, Result

Who is the course for?
