Ballet Beginner 2 with Rebecca Labbé

Rebecca has danced in companies such as The Royal Danish Ballet, The Dresden Ballet and The Royal Swedish Ballet. She was educated in Stockholm at the Royal Swedish Ballet school and attended exchange programs abroad at The National ballet school of Canada and Conservatorio de Danza Madrid. She has worked in many different productions and has also performed on some of the world’s largest stages. Her work has included repertoar by choreographers such as John Neumier, William Forsythe, Uwe Sholtz, Bournonville, Jiri Kylian and Ohad Naharin. After retirement she completed her teacher education at The Royal Academy of Dance in London and since has been teaching in different dance schools in Europe. Rebecca runs her own studio in Dalarna, Mora - www.balettochyoga.com where she teaches both ballet & yoga for adults and children.

"I want my classes to be a safe space for dancers no matter what their level is. I place a huge importance on the musicality and I love to include quick combinations with multiple jumps. My goal is that my students leave my classes with a positive vibe. In my beginner classes I focus on placement and create a slow pace so that my students have time to understand the coordination".

Level: Beginners 2 - for participants over 13 years of age with basic skills.

Rebecca Labbé

Rebecca was educated at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm.

She has worked as a professional ballet dancer for 15 years and has danced at some of the most prestigious opera houses in the world, including the Semper Oper in Dresden and the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen and she recently finished her career at The Royal Swedish Opera House. Beyond that she has performed at galas and toured all over the world, to USA, Japan, China, Africa etc. She is also an educated Dance teacher from the Royal Academy of Dance in London.

"I love to teach and to share my knowledge and passion for dance with my students. My goal is that my students learn something new in every lesson. Everyone can dance, you just have to dare."
