Audition

If you meet the basic eligibility requirements and have previous dance training experience, you will be invited to an audition. You can choose to submit your audition digitally by May 18 or attend an in-person audition in Umeå on May 25.

A digital audition is performed individually, where the applicant films specific exercises in ballet, jazz, modern/contemporary dance, and/or street/hip-hop selected by the selection jury, as well as a solo. A digital interview is held with the applicant, focusing on their expectations for the program, motivation to complete it, and ability to collaborate.

The in-person audition is conducted in a group setting in ballet, jazz, modern/contemporary dance, and/or street/hip-hop. The applicant will also perform a short solo. Interviews will be held with the applicant, focusing on their expectations for the program and motivation to complete it. The schedule and additional information will be sent well in advance of the audition.
