No prior knowledge is required. This course is for anyone curious about the future of urban living and sustainability.
Goal
The aim is to leave each session inspired and informed, equipped with a deeper understanding of what makes a city truly sustainable and the complexities of achieving that vision.

- The more-than-human city: nature’s role in sustainable cities
- The cyborg city: science and technology driving urban futures
- The people’s city: communities shaping tomorrow’s cities
- The walkable city: human-scale cities for a sustainable world
- The just city: building equity for a sustainable urban future
Course format
Each session combines engaging lectures with open, judgment-free discussions. These conversations encourage creative thinking and innovative approaches to imagining the cities of the future.

Circle leader
Alessandra Goio, a Master’s student in Sustainable Urban Planning and Design at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, will guide the sessions. With a passion for sustainable urban living, Alessandra focuses on the dynamic relationship between people and the cities they inhabit — how spaces shape communities and how communities shape spaces.
