Course structure:
Children are given the opportunity to express their joy of movement and dance while being introduced to the basics of ballet. We practice musicality, coordination, concentration, and improvisation in a way that is adapted to the children’s level of maturity. The movements are energetic, dance-oriented, and suitably challenging. During the lessons, we imagine, invent movements, and dance at different tempos – fast, slow, strong, and soft. The pedagogy is based on keeping the children active during short, intensive sessions while strengthening their ability to collaborate and fostering a sense of group cohesion.
Content:
- Introduction to the basics of ballet in an engaging and inspiring way.
- Practice of musicality, posture, coordination, and concentration.
- Encouraging joy of movement through improvisation and dance exercises.
- Strengthening teamwork and group dynamics in a safe environment.
Age guidelines:
The age guidelines refer to the child’s age at the start of the course.
To participate in a 3-4 year age group, the child must have turned three years old by the start of the course.
Good to know:
- The course is conducted in English.
- The lessons are accompanied by a musician.
- When booking, please provide the child’s name and personal details.
- As an adult, you are welcome to join the studio at the first class session. After that, the children dance on their own with the teacher. Exceptions can be made for special needs, but we recommend preparing the child to participate without a accompanying adult.

Ievgeniia Iashchuk
Evgeniia “Jane” Iashchuk är en professionell dans- och balettlärare, koreograf och konstnärlig ledare från Ukraina med över 15 års internationell erfarenhet i Europa, Asien och Mellanöstern. Hon är en erfaren instruktör i balett, modern dans, koreografi och scenframställning, och arbetar med dansare och barn i alla åldrar och på alla erfarenhetsnivåer.
Hon har planerat, koreograferat och regisserat många baletter och föreställningar i mer än fem länder. I Kina arbetade hon som konstnärlig ledare vid den första ukrainska balettskolan i över tre år. Jane har skapat mer än hundra originalverk för barn — inklusive klassiska baletter, moderna stycken och folkdansföreställningar.
I Sverige har hon samarbetat med olika dansinstitutioner under de senaste fem åren. Just nu leder hon Kulturforum Stockholm, en kreativ plattform som stödjer flyktingbarn och familjer genom dans- och konstprogram. Hennes arbete har synts på svensk nationell TV (TV4 Talang, SVT) och i internationella medier.
”Under mina 15 år som lärare har jag lärt mig att kommunicera med barn i alla åldrar, med olika bakgrunder, temperament och motivationer. Jag tror verkligen att varje barn är unikt och talangfullt. Som lärare är mitt uppdrag att hjälpa dem att upptäcka och utveckla sina styrkor. Deras lycka är grunden för mina lektioner — därför lär jag dem hur man njuter av och älskar danskonsten. Evgeniia “Jane” Iashchuk is a professional dance and ballet teacher, choreographer, and artistic director from Ukraine with over 15 years of international experience across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. She is an experienced tutor in ballet, contemporary dance, choreography, and performance techniques, working with dancers and children of all ages and experience levels.
She has planned, choreographed, and directed numerous ballets and performances in more than five countries. In China, she served as Artistic Director at the First Ukrainian Ballet School for over three years. Jane has created more than one hundred original works for children — including classical ballets, modern pieces, and folk dance performances.
In Sweden, she has collaborated with various dance institutions over the last five years. She currently leads Kulturforum Stockholm, a creative platform supporting refugee children and families through dance and art adaptation programs. Her work has been featured on Swedish national television (TV4 Talang, SVT) and in international media.
“Throughout my 15 years of teaching, I’ve learned how to communicate with children of all ages, backgrounds, temperaments, and motivations. I truly believe that every child is unique and talented. As a teacher, my mission is to help them discover and develop their strengths. Their happiness is the foundation of my classes — that’s why I teach them how to enjoy and love the art of dance.
