Kusi Castro utbildades i Paris där hon föddes. Först på konservatoriet och sedan i Cannes på Rosella Hightower Superior dansskola. Parallellt under alla dessa år har hon blivit coachad av Marc Du Bouaÿs och Evelyne Desutter som verkligen format hennes dans.
Kusi has danced in various European companies such as Leipziger Ballett in Germany under Paul Chalmer, Ballet de l'Opéra National de Bordeaux under Charles Jude, Ballet de l'Opéra National du Rhin under Ivan Cavallari, Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse under Kader Belarbi, and the Royal Swedish Ballet under Johannes Öhman.
Her repertoire includes choreographers like Paul Chalmer, Georges Balanchine, Uwe Scholz, John Cranko, Stephan Thoss, Rui Lopez Graça, Mario Pistoni, Rudolf Nureyev, Serge Lifar, Pär Isberg, Natalia Makarova, Natalia Conus, Benjamin Millepied, Roland Petit, Marcia Haydée, and Auguste Bournonville.
While she was still dancing, she received her diploma as a ballet teacher from the French Ministry of Culture in 2015 due to her career and experience. She is also a certified Stott Pilates instructor, certified PBT instructor, and FRC mobility instructor.
Kusi Castro has been a ballet teacher at the Royal Swedish Ballet School since 2024, where she previously worked as a substitute. She has also taught ballet for the bachelor's program in dance pedagogy at Stockholm University of the Arts. At the Ballet Academy, she teaches evening courses and daily training for professional dancers.
