Cyntia Botello

1998 flyttade hon till Sverige och vidareutbildade sig inom pedagogik vid Dans- och Cirkushögskolan samt vid Stockholms universitet. Hon har en ämneslärarutbildning i dans med inriktning mot barn och unga, samt balett för gymnasieskolans estetiska program och profilskolor. Dessutom har hon en konstnärlig masterexamen i koreografi med inriktning dansdidaktik och är legitimerad danslärare upptill gymnasiet. 

Cyntia arbetar som dansare och koreograf och har erfarenhet av att skapa dansföreställningar, performanceverk och dansfilmsproduktioner.

"I mina klasser låter jag mig inspireras och engageras av deltagarnas kreativitet. Genom lekfullhet och dansglädje ges utrymme att upptäcka och utveckla egna förmågor och unika rörelsemönster. Jag arbetar både med kunskap och intuition för att skapa förtroende och lust till rörelse. Jag vill väcka intresse och nyfikenhet så att varje individ kan väva in sina egna uppfattningar, känslor, tankar, minnen och fantasier i dansen."

Cyntia was born in Mexico City and trained as a dancer at the Theatre and Dance Board, Choreographic Institution.

In 1998, she moved to Sweden and furthered her education in pedagogy at the University of Dance and Circus as well as at Stockholm University. She has a subject teacher education in dance focusing on children and young people, as well as ballet for the upper secondary school's aesthetic program and profile schools. In addition, she holds an artistic master's degree in choreography with a focus on dance didactics and is a certified dance teacher up to high school level. 

Cyntia works as a dancer and choreographer and has experience creating dance performances, performance pieces, and dance film productions.

"In my classes, I let myself be inspired and engaged by the participants' creativity. Through playfulness and the joy of dance, there is space to explore and develop personal abilities and unique movement patterns. I work with both knowledge and intuition to build trust and enthusiasm for movement. I want to spark interest and curiosity so that each individual can weave in their own perceptions, feelings, thoughts, memories, and imagination into the dance."
