Language
The course alternates between Swedish and English according to the group's wishes and needs.
Prerequisite skills
The course is open for those aged 18+ who have already completed a beginners course or students who already have some drama experience and a strong commitment to continue working in progress. The course is also open for more advance students, who wish to discover the strength of Action-work based theatre.
Goal
The primary goal of the course is for the students to experience and discover a living awareness of the human body and voice as expressive instruments, the joy of working in a group and the strength that comes from discovering new things about yourself.
Secondary this course will widen your knowledge in action-work and text analysis.
Course description
In the continuation course we dive deeper into the world of acting and drama. Students have already created a solid base for voices and bodies, and can now continue with more advanced exercises as well as preparing for a small performance at the end of the course. Using a combination of improvisational and other technique (all based on Stanislavsky technique), the teacher will pull out your strengths and continue to develop your experience.
The course will also be valuable for developing life skills, irrespective of whether you want to pursue acting in a sustained way, amateur or professional.
In this course we will work with scripts as well as improvisation, and exercises to maintain focus, and understanding for the present in a play or drama.

About the instructor
Your teacher, Johan Briggert, is an experienced director with over 30 years in the theatre industry. With a strong foundation in action-based techniques, text analysis, and dramaturgy, his focus lies on personal development for actors. Using an individualized approach, he aim to support each student based on their unique needs and strengths.
Johan is trained in directing and action-based theatre through various institutions, including folkhögskola (a type of adult education college), Akademien Action-work, and the Atlantic School in New York.
Currently, Johan run Teater Pegasus Produktion, working on several major projects such as the musical Flashdance, productions at Skansen, and a summer tour with Folkets Hus och Parker. With a passion for both performing arts and teaching, he look forward to guiding you in your acting journey!

Johan Briggert
Johan Briggert är regissör och dramatiker, utbildad i Sverige och New York.
Johan driver Teater Pegasus Produktion, som producerat musikal och teaterföreställningar runtom i Sverige sedan 20-tal år tillbaka. Johan har även grundat Lill-Skansenteatern samt arbetat som konstnärligt ansvarig för Astrid Lindgrens Värld.
Johan har många års erfarenhet som teaterpedagog och coach och har bland annat undervisat på musikalutbildningen på Stockholms musikpedagogiska institut.
