About the course
You gain a basic knowledge of Swedish so that you can be understood and understand others in simple everyday situations. The course is fast paced and suitable for those who want to learn Swedish quickly. Swedish A2 is for beginners who just started to study Swedish.
If you don't know what level to start on, you can do our webbased language test: webbaserade språktest.
Course Content
You will work with conversation, pronunciation and understanding during the course and you will take the first steps in reading and writing Swedish. You also get an insight into Swedish culture and Swedish society.
Examples of course content:
- Greetings and small talk
- Words and sentences so that you can describe yourself, your family and your work
- Everyday situations: in store or in a restaurant and café
- Alphabet and numbers
- Weekdays and months
- Directions
- Introduction to Swedish grammar
Work methods
The course will be adapted to the students’ needs and wishes. You are expected to be active during the course and you will get homework between lessons.
For a good result you are expected to spend a couple of hours on homework weekly.
Our experienced trainers are Swedish native speakers. The trainers vary the teaching and create a pleasant and supportive learning environment. We accept a maximum of 19 participants in each course.
Book list
Our course book, Rivstart A1+A2, is up-to-date and also has digital material. In this course we work through chapters 11-20. Please note: All chapters are not studied together during the classes. You are expected to study some of it on your own.
When will the course start?
You will receive detailed information by e-mail about a week before the course starts.
If we receive more than 11 participants, we add one lesson to the course.
Kursledare
Peter Nilsson
Peter började undervisa i svenska som andra språk på Folkuniversitetet i Malmö 1995. Under många år kombinerade han undervisning med att arbeta med försäljning, marknadsföring, produktutveckling och projektledning inom ramen för anställningen på Folkuniversitetet.
Peter ledde bland annat arbetet med att etablera Folkuniversitetets gymnasieskola i Malmö för vilken han sen var rektor i två år.
Med undantag av en handfull år har Peter sen han började här 1995 varit kursledare på våra svenskkurser. Under åren har han haft kurser på alla nivåer: Från kurser för absoluta nybörjare till de mest avancerade högskoleförberedande kurserna.
Peter, som dagligen arbetar på Folkuniversitetets SFI-skola i Malmö, är adjunkt och legitimerad lärare i svenska med behörighet att undervisa på högstadiet, gymnasiet och inom vuxenutbildningen.
