– The best part about teaching Swedish is to see the course participants’ progress.
I started teaching at Folkuniversitetet in 2008 and have taught many courses since then. I want my students to have fun in my courses and it is always okay to make mistakes. Much time is spent on oral exercises in pairs or smaller groups. The goal is to gain confidence in learning and using Swedish in one’s everyday life.
I have been a Swedish teacher in Sweden, The Netherlands, Latvia and France. Thanks to having lived abroad I know the challenges of integrating into another culture and learning a new language. These experiences are useful when I meet people who are new in Sweden in my courses at Folkuniversitetet.
