Who is this course for?
The course is for learners of English who work in IT or study information technology or related subjects. It is aimed at students from B1 to C1 advanced level. Unsure of your language level? Please take our online language level test.
Course objectives and content
The aims of the course are to:
• Improve your ability to talk about contemporary IT issues and develop your accuracy in English.
• Build your confidence through discussion activities on a range of subjects associated with IT, including software development, languages and tools, a bit about agile, remote work, testing, meetings and IT trends.
• Practice skills such as taking part in meetings, negotiating and report writing.
• Expand your vocabulary and learn commonly-used expressions that are essential for communication in a variety of IT roles, including Software Developers, Project/Product Managers, Business Analysts, SW Architects, Designers and QA Specialists.
Working methods
We work on speaking, listening, reading and writing, but our main focus is on verbal communication. The course is taught exclusively in English by teachers who have English as a native language. You will be working in pairs or small groups with classmates and taking an active part in lessons. You will be given homework for further practice throughout the course.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, I've called south Sweden home after living in Copenhagen since 1992. I'm passionate about helping IT professionals excel in their career.
