Du förbättrar din engelska på ett sätt som är annorlunda än vad du är van vid från skolan och får träffa nya kompisar. Våra lärare har engelska som modersmål och kan även förmedla en del av kulturen från sina hemländer. Lärarna är vana vid undervisning och är lyhörda för deltagarnas behov och önskemål.
Mål och innehåll
Att deltagarna har roligt och förbättrar sina språkkunskaper utifrån den egna nivån. Att på ett lättsamt sätt utforska det engelska språket utan press och tanke på betyg. Kursintyg kan fås om man så önskar efter kursen. Under dagarna tar vi upp olika teman som tex fritid, samhälle, film, musik, mode, sport och arbetar på olika vis med språket.
Arbetssätt
- Vi arbetar med alla språkfärdigheter, men fokus ligger på muntlig kommunikation.
- Undervisningen sker på engelska.
- Du deltar aktivt på lektionerna och övningar i par och små grupper är en viktig del av undervisningen.
- Du behöver lägga ner ett par timmar på hemarbete inför varje lektion.
- Vi har max 12 deltagare i grupperna.
Tid och plats
Kursen går sammanlagt 5 dagar: måndag- fredag, mellan kl.10.00-12.15
Vi håller till i centrala Stockholm på Kungstensgatan 45, vid den gröna Observatiorielunden. Närmaste T-bana är Rådmansgatan/Odenplan.
Då kursen bara är på förmiddagarna så finns det ändå gott om tid att njuta av sommarlovet. För dig som förälder är detta ett bra sätt att ge ditt barn ett alternativ till en språkresa utomlands.

INFORMATION IN ENGLISH
Welcome to a small part of the English-speaking world for a week in the centre of Stockholm!
Course objectives
During this week our aim is to help you improve your English in a fun and fairly informal way and to give you the chance to make new friends. You will be able to practise your English and learn a little about the culture of English-speaking countries under the guidance of a native English teacher. We want you to gain confidence in speaking the language in a relaxed way, without the pressure of achieving grades.
Course content and working methods
Before the course begins, the teacher will email a questionnaire to everyone in the group and this is the first chance for you to let us know about what interests you, and what kind of subjects and activities you would like to see included in the course. This will help the teacher plan the course according to the wishes and interests of the group. Typical subjects include social media, sport and keeping fit and free time activities.
- We will look at certain grammar and vocabulary areas which are suitable for students of this level and often cause some difficulty
- The main focus of the course however, is speaking and encouraging real communication in the group as much as possible, and students should be prepared to join in without worrying about making mistakes. Students are given the opportunity to express their own ideas and feelings on topics that interest them.
- The course is taught exclusively in English by teachers who have English as a native language or the equivalent level so this course is suitable for students of all nationalities.
- Class size is between 6-12 students
- You will be working in pairs or small groups with classmates and taking an active part in lessons. Speaking to each other in English is an important part of practice.
- You will be given homework for further practice throughout the course.
Level
Participants should be no younger than 13 years old when they start the course, and should be of B1 level. If you are uncertain of your level, please take our placement test (see link below)

Time and place
The course is 5 days long and runs from Monday to Friday between 10.00 and 12.15 and takes place at our premises in central Stockholm next to the green and leafy Observatiorielunden. The nearest underground (T-bana) is Rådmansgatan and Odenplan.
As the course only takes place in the morning, there is still plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your summer break.
