Why should I choose Malmö SFI School?

All our teachers speak Swedish right from the start, and you train your language skills throughout the school day. We often work with digital methods, which is why it’s good if you have some computer skills.

Our teaching is individualized, which means you follow a custom study plan and have personal progress check-ins continuously. We follow the Swedish National Agency for Education’s syllabus for SFI.

What are the SFI study options at Malmö SFI school?

There are three SFI study options at Malmö SFI school. The study option you can take depends on various factors like your schedule, language level, years of education/previous studies, computer skills and more.

Intensive daytime, 25 hours per week

An intensive daytime study option for participant with a minimum of 13 years of formal education, are accustomed to studying and can study effectively for five hours per weekday.

Flex daytime, 15 hours per week

A more flexible option suitable if you have at least 13 years of previous studies, are working or other reasons keeping you from studying full time. You will attend school 5 hours each week and study online 10 hours. In total you will study 15 hours a week. A mentor follows your progress, helps you, and together you create a schedule that suits you.

Distance, 10 hours per week

The most individual option in regards to your schedule. Suitable if you have at least 13 years of previous studies. You are computer literate, motivated, have broadband, good self-discipline and experience of previous language studies. You will study independently, at any time, via our online learning platform for at least 10 hours a week. A teacher follows your progress and gives you individual feedback.

Evenings, 6 hours per week

The evening study option is for those who have at least 13 years of formal education and want to study SFI but have daytime obligations such as work or other studies.

We set high demands on attendance, and you’re expected to participate in on-site classes and be able to study via Google Classroom.

Flex evening, 9 hours per week

This evening study option is for those who have at least 13 years of formal education and have daytime obligations such as work or other studies. Your total study time is 9h/w. Of these you need to participate on location at least one evening/week (3h). You are also welcome to come an additional evening when it suits you (3h). The remaining time you will use our online platform from home.

We set high demands on attendance and participation.

Daytime, 15 hours per week

A daytime study option for those who have 7-12 years of formal education and need a more relaxed pace. We often use computers as aids, and it’s good if you have some computer skills or an interest in gaining computer literacy.

Daytime, 20 hours per week

A daytime study option for those who have 7-12 years of formal education and prefer a slightly faster pace, 4h/day. We often use computers, and it’s good if you have some computer skills or an interest in gaining computer literacy.

Where is Malmö SFI School?

Malmö SFI School is located in Folkuniversitetet’s bright, modern space in Västra Hamnen on the third floor of Propellergatan 1. Eslövs folkhögskola is the principal of the courses, conducts all education and has the right to grade for SFI. Eslövs folkhögskola collaborate with Folkuniversitet on SFI, with well-educated teachers and modern premises.

Eslövs folkhögskola was founded in 1897 and Folkuniversitetet in 1942 and we draw on our well-established experience to meet society’s educational needs and give participants the best possible foundation.
