Folkuniversitetet's general terms of application. Please note that for certain types of courses, such as seminars, longer programmes of study and diploma courses, other terms of application apply. Please see the course programme for more information.
Course start and notification
Before the start of the course, you always receive a written notification giving the course times and the address where the course will take place. The invoice for the course fee is enclosed with the notification. The course fee should be paid no later than the date shown on the invoice.
Enrolment in a study circle is binding
If you cancel your enrolment not later than one week before the course starts, an administration fee of 10% of the course fee will be charged, though not less than 100 SEK and not more than 500 SEK.
If you cancel your enrolment later than one week before the course starts, a fee will be charged which may amount to maximum half the course fee.
Cancellation of enrolment after the start of the course
If you break off your participation in the circle/course after it has started, you will be liable to pay the full circle/course fee.
If you break off a course because of longterm difficulties, such as illness confirmed by a medical certificate, moving away from the area or other comparable reason that you were unable to foresee, the unused part of the course fee will be refunded, with a deduction for course material.
Complaints and claims
Complaints and claims are subject to the provisions of the Consumer Service Act (konsumenttjänstlagen).
Change of time
In the event that we have to cancel a course before it starts, you have the right to recover the whole course fee. If the start of the course is postponed more than a week, you will have the right to cancel the course and recover the whole course fee. The same applies if the time of the classes is changed by the school in a way that is of essential importance to you.
Use of personal data under the Personal Particulars Act (PUL)
In order to facilitate administration, we electronically process details of name, address and which activity your are participating in. We also use these details to send you information on coming activities. If you wish to decline further information, please write to us.
